Hi and Welcome! I’m Gavin Fielding, owner of Calgary Property Inspectors. I’m a licensed and certified home inspector with over 10 years experience in the industry who believes in giving my clients the best service possible. I inspect every home as if it were my own.

In addition to residential home inspections, I also do commercial property inspections specialising in low and mid-rise multi-unit apartment buildings for CMHC refinancing purposes under MLI Select. From 2015-2024 I held the role of Senior Building Science Consultant at Canada's federal housing agency. The responsibilities included personally inspecting hundreds of multi-unit properties, reviewing hundreds of Phase I, Phase II and Phase III ESA reports, reviewing hundreds of energy efficiency retrofit proposals, reviewing thousands of BCA and PCA reports completed by other professionals, and property inspections at thousands of homes on >60 First Nation and Metis communities for deep retrofit programs and new construction progress inspections.

I've personally inspected over $10 BILLION CAD worth of property!

Prior to the role at CMHC I successfully owned and operated Calgary Property Inspectors as a home inspection business so I'm absolutely thrilled to reopen the business again!
